1979 Polaris TX-C - restored to terrain racing configuration: Model 370735A, Serial 0524308. In 1979, Polaris celebrated 25 years of production. That year, Polaris introduced the TX-C, a cross-country racing machine that was a hybrid of the TX-L and the TX 340 except for the drive system and the Type III aluminum slide rail suspension (long-travel suspension). The TX-C used a two-cylinder 336cc free air 48 hp engine and a rubber track. This is a top-notch restoration by A.J. Emrick of Vintage Snowmobile Restoration. See pictures and videos to appreciate the quality, detail, and accuracy of this "nut & bolt" restoration. This restoration emphasized "correctness". No expense spared. This TX-C is outfitted with optional terrain racing Polaris parts, including the CC seat, high CC windshield (part # 5430515), forged spindles, and dual factory "storage cans". New hood, new tunnel, race seat, and windshield. Bodywork and paint by a professional shop. The rail suspension sparkles. The motor runs perfectly. See the walk-around video of it idling in the parking lot.
