1971 Arctic Cat EXT 440, Serial Number: 175544, Model Number: 440 AE. This 1971 Arctic Cat EXT 440 snowmobile is unrestored and reported to be in generally original condition. There were 443 examples of this model produced according to reported production records. This 1971 EXT 440 is powered by a twin-cylinder free-air 436cc Kawasaki T1A440F2 A engine. The engine is equipped with WD2-1 carburetors. The exhaust is cross-over tuned pipes. The right-side pipe shows a small weld repair. The engine has spark and turns over freely. The tunnel appears to be straight and there is no cleat damage under the seat. The hood has minor damage on the front right corner and some stress cracks in the fiberglass. The windshield appears to be original. The sled is equipped with the correct galvanized skis. The track and suspension are in good condition. The original white track drive sprockets are in place. The original seat is in good condition. The 4.5-gallon "lightning bolt" fuel tank is free of corrosion inside but the chrome exterior finish is flaking in spots. The dash is equipped with a speedometer/odometer showing 3189 miles. The tail light lens is missing. This snowmobile has been in covered storage for several seasons and will need routine maintenance. The registration card is not available.
